Is food provided before Monday Night rehearsals?

No. The band program does not provide a meal before Monday Night rehearsals.

 

There is a break between the end of school at (4:15pm) and beginning of rehearsal (6pm) which gives students time to coordinate their own meals. Some options that have worked :​

  • some students pack their own dinner

  • some families trade off dropping off meals

  • some students drive to pick meals from HEB and nearby restaurants

  • some parents coordinate to have food dropped off outside the band hall

Can I go watch our band or guard students practice on Monday nights?

Yes. Parents are welcome to sit in the stands and watch the band and guard practice.

Should I bring cash for tickets and/or parking during competitions/contests?

Most places accept card for digital payments. A few stadiums accept cash too. It is always cheaper to get your tickets ahead of time.

How do I check my student out from an event/competition?

Find your bus chaperone and sign them out. It's important to know what bus your student rides on. Make sure to let your student know ahead of time.

If I am a volunteer with the pit crew, should I bring my lunch/dinner and drinks?

Some events like at Kelly Reeves has walkable restaurants to grab dinner. Always have snacks and drinks available for yourself.

Should students bring their water jug home from competitions and football games to clean and refill everyday?

Yes, students are responsible to bring home their water jugs to clean and refill every time. Also, please remind  students to label their water jugs.

If students have an issue or question about marching band, who can they ask or go to?

  • Students can ask veteran students/or upper class students

  • Students should go to their section leader or captains

  • Students can speak to or email their directors for assistance

What is the first thing I should do if I want to volunteer with the Tiger Band?

If I want to contact a band or a color guard parent, what do I do?

  • You can ask another band parent for their contact info

  • You can go to Boosterhub and get their info and reach out

If I would like to be more involved with the band, who do I contact? 

  • I can contact a veteran parent/member

  • I can contact one of the booster board members

If students want more practice with marching on the field or tips on learning the music, what should they do?

  • They can ask their section leader to help and practice with them

  • They can ask one of the drum majors

If my student is sick or there are personal issues, who do I contact?

  • Students report to their section leader or captain

  • Plus, parents can email Mr. Woods and cc the directors.
